I'm a motion graphics designer who's worked in the entertainment and tech industries for 20-something years, having worked comedy-adjacent for most of that time. Comedy Central, Funny or Die, BuzzFeed, Super Deluxe, and a bunch of odd clients in between, including a gag gift for Rian Johnson.

When the entire entertainment industry collapsed seemingly overnight in 2022, I was struggling to find work and couldn't think of a way to stand out from the crowd. Comedy has always been first language, so I did what cam naturally and started making videos.

Because I'm a new dad, getting out to do stand up wasn't a possibility, so I started doing stand up from my own tiny office. A couple videos really took off and my account went from 60 followers to over 8500 in four months. One video has over 260k views!

I think there's a lot of sales bro speak slipping into the design world and my goal is to speak with some honesty about the experience of being a professionally creative person.
